Wyman Morrell Youmans

Mr. Wyman Morrell Youmans of Early Branch, SC joined our Heavenly Father on December 27, 2021 after a long battle with chronic illness. He wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible and was surrounded by his wife and children in his final days.

Mr. Youmans was born October 14, 1945 in Yemassee, SC, a son of the late Eric Morrell and Susan Isabel "Bell" Heape Youmans. He served in the Army National Guard and retired form Lobeco Products, Inc. Mr. Youmans enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild. He loved a good cup of coffee and classic country music. Mr. Youmans was a founding member of New Life in Christ Church in Early Branch, SC.

Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Lois Stanley Youmans; their beloved children Ron Youmans (Susie) of Varnville, SC; Erick Youmans (Danielle) of Varnville, SC; and Amanda Shaffer (Michael) of Aiken, SC; sister Barbara Nettles (Atticus); sister-in-law Willette Youmans, Diane Tedder, Rachel Hiott, and Kline Reed; brother-in-law Charles Stanley; grandchildren Cody (Meagan), Josh (Kendra), Landon, Lorryn, Gavin, Christian, and Grayson; great grandchildren Maylee and Graham (soon to join the family); and several special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Youmans.

Due to COVID, a private family only graveside service will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Glen Samples and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
