Willie Hennis Garvin

BRUNSON DATELINE:

Mr. Willie Hennis Garvin of Bush Road near Brunson, died Tuesday morning at the Summerville Community Hospice House in Summerville.

Mr. Garvin was born April 30, 1940 in Barnwell County, a son of the late Dewey and Alma Scott Garvin. He was a Route Salesman for Colonial Bread Company, serving the Lowcountry area for many years. Mr. Garvin was a member of the West End Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing Golf, Hunting and Fishing.

Surviving are; Wife: Dorothy Whittle Garvin; Sons: Phillip Garvin and wife Vickie of Hampton, Clifford Garvin and wife Wanda of Myrtle Beach; Grandchildren: Jaimie, Carrie, Amanda, Christina, Casey, Natalie, Max, and Quinton. There are also 13 great grandchildren.

Mr. Garvin was predeceased by his parents; Son: Barry Garvin; and a Brother: Frontis Garvin.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Friday in the West End Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ryan Ashcraft, with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday beginning at 2 P.M. at the Church prior to the services.
