William E. "Possum" Deloach

Mr. William Eugene DeLoach, affectionately known as "Possum", 67, resident of Yemassee Highway in Varnville, husband of Judy DeLoach, passed away Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Born June 22, 1957, in Hampton, Mr. DeLoach was the son of the late Marion Eugene DeLoach and Mary Edna DeLoach Sauls. He attended Wade Hampton High School in Varnville, earning his diploma. Mr. DeLoach worked for many years as a carpenter and was a farmer. He also served in the South Carolina National Guard for several years. Mr. DeLoach will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, and building bird houses.

He was an attendant of Steep Bottom Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Judy Peeples DeLoach, of the home, are his daughters, Jeana Bryant (Austin) and Catherine Mixon (Russell); his son, Michael Carroll; his step-daughter, Ashley Ullmann (James); his step-sons, Roger Ullmann (Alyissa) and Jeff Stanley; his grandchildren: Elana, Steven, Dylan, Sabrina, and David; his step-grandchildren: Bethaney, Jessica, and Abigail, and two sisters, Rosanell Tagliavia and Mary Jeannette Wingate. There are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who survive.

Memorial Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

A visitation will begin at 1 PM and last until the hour of the service in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish may send memorials in Mr. DeLoach's honor to the funeral home.
