Wanda Carraway Priester, 62, of Varnville died on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Spirit of Life Ministries in Varnville. Burial will be held privately. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Spirit of Life Ministries and other times at the home.
Wanda was born in Florence County. She attended Spirit of Life Ministries. Wanda worked for many years as a Pharmacy Technician. She owned and operated ReJoyce Bake Shop and Cafe in Varnville until she retired in 2020. Wanda loved sharing her culinary skills with her family and friends and her specialty was her red velvet cupcakes . She loved her family, friends and enjoyed making people laugh. Our hearts are broken, but we know Heaven is much sweeter now than before.
Surviving are her loving husband, Angus Priester of Varnville; her father, Cecil Carraway of Florence; her loving step children, whom she loved as her own, Nikki Ray (Daniel), and Chris Priester (Courtney); her loving grandchildren, Kole, Gracie, Payslee, and Emery; her sisters, Nancy Carraway Schaffer and Cindy Carraway Fisher (Steve); her brother, Michael Carraway (Sylvia); and many loving, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved as her children.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Friar Carraway; her brother, Cecil Earl Carraway; and her brother-in-law, H.D. Schaffer.
Services are entrusted to Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home of Darlinton.
