Mr. Wallace Gilbert Harriott, 70, of Gillison Branch Road in Pineland, died early Thursday morning in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Harriott was born in Hampton, February 28, 1947, a son of the late Frank and Effie DeWitt Harriott. He was a retired truck driver, having worked with both Luray Grain Company and J.F. Wyman Grain Company. He had attended the St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church and was a former member of the Stafford Masonic Lodge # 216.
Surviving are: His wife: Mrs. Idell Prince Harriott of Pineland; Sons: Danny Brunson and wife Gail of Scotia, and Michael Harriott of Varnville; Daughter: Judy Rivers and husband Don of Nixville; Brother: John Albert Harriott, Sr. and wife Shelby of Burgaw, N.C.; Sister: Marselle Staton and husband Jim of Middletown, Ohio; Grandchildren: Bonnie Lee and husband Randy, Alan Brunson and wife Cassie, Kurt Rivers and wife Odessa, Mandy Harriott "Noel", and Dusty Harriott and wife Gabi. There are 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Harriott was predeceased by brothers and a sister: Charles, Eric, Nathan, Quillie Joe Harriott and Edith Hodges.
Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Saturday in the Lebanon Cemetery near Scotia conducted by Rev. John Harriott, Jr.
Visitation will be Saturday morning beginning at 11 A.M. prior to the services at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
