Vivian Nissley

VARNVILLE:     Emily Vivian Harvey Nissley passed away Thursday evening, March 28, 2024 at the
Hampton Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.  She was 69.

Vivian was born in Ridgeland November 22, 1954 a daughter of the late Manley Lee Harvey and Alice Heape Harvey.  She was a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church, was a homemaker, and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Vivian is survived by her children:  Wayne Nissley Jr. (Karen), Ernest "Bubba" Nissley, Shannon Aytes (Jeffrey), Fay Heape and Manley Nissley.  She leaves behind her brother Lee Harvey (Charlotte), her sister Rose Marie Reeves, and her sister-in-law Sue Harvey.  There are thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Crystal Nissley, and by her brother Gordon Harvey.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, April 2, 2024 at 11:00 in Deep Branch Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street in Hampton.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
