Violet Gooding

Mrs. Violet Rebecca Boyles Gooding, 79, of Nix Street in Hampton, died Monday, July 26, 2021 at her sister's residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Gooding was born February 5, 1942 in Tillman, a daughter of the late John H. "Forrest" Boyles and Ella Darien Boyles.  She had worked and retired from the Dietary Department at the  Allendale County Hospital.  Mrs. Gooding was a member of Hampton Church of God of Prophecy and was the widow of Charles Henry Gooding.

Surviving are her sisters, Josie Wilcox of Hampton, Estelle Kelly of Laurens and Janie Brown of Lodge; a special nephew, Charles Wesley Parker; and a special niece, Gracie Wilcox.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday at Hampton Church of God of Prophecy conducted by Rev. Bert Linder with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM Saturday prior to the service at the Church.
