Tressy Louise Terry Wooten

ESTILL DATELINE: Mrs. Tressy Louise Terry Wooten "Weezie" of the Nixville Community near Estill, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 28, 2022.

Mrs. Wooten was born January 14, 1967 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Willis E. Terry and Bernice Bennett Terry. She was a member of the Robertville Baptist Church, and was the ware house manager with KCT Supply Company in Furman, SC.

Mrs. Wooten was avid in Softball and played with Sandhill Baptist Church for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Wooten never met a stranger. She was loved by everyone that came in contact with her. Mrs. Wooten was hard working, selfless, independent and the best mother and grandmother ever. The great memories will be cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by a son Dawson Wooten of Estill, and one she loved like a son, Logan Smith of Grays; Daughters: Candace Hampleton and husband Damon "Pee Wee" of Walterboro, Sarah Beth Mixon of Scotia, Jessica Wooten of Columbia, TX; Brother: Johnny Terry of Hampton; Sisters: Trudy Murdaugh and husband Donald, Elaine King (Larry Jarrell), and Greta Terry all of Hampton, and Linet Duncan of Scotia; Grandchildren: Landon Stanley, Mekhi and Marya Hampleton of Walterboro, Noah Mixson of Columbia, TX, and Mixon and Thomas Breland of Scotia; Step Mother: Pat Terry of Ridgeland; and Former Husband Edgar Wooten of Estill.

Mrs. Wooten was predeceased by her Mother and Father in Law, Jeanne and Roy Wooten.

Graveside services will be 2 P.M. Sunday in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 126 Hickory Grove Road in Brunson and conducted by Rev. Bobby Ethridge. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.

The family asks that those who wish to make donations may do so to Step of Faith in Ridgeland at 9009 Tarboro Rd, Ridgeland, SC 29936 in care of Dawson's tuition needs.
