Mr. Tommy Leroy Cook, 75, of Woody Lane in Hampton, died Tuesday afternoon at his residence.

Mr. Cook was born in Miley, March 23, 1943, a son of the late Ed and Bernice Chassereau Cook.  He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed his retirement visiting and talking with his many friends in the Hampton County area.

Surviving are:  Daughters: Penny C. Crapse and husband Tommy of Cummings, Gloria C. Stanley and husband Ken of Walterboro and Tammy Hiers and husband Paul of Nixville; Sons:  Tommy Crosby and wife Debbie of Nixville, Jimmy Carr of Hampton;    Brothers:  Robert Cook and wife Barbara of Beaufort, Eddie Lamar Cook of Hampton, Jerry Cook and wife Suzanne of Yemassee, and Joey Cook and wife Renee of Hampton;  Sister: Betty Murdaugh and husband Hugh of Hampton;  Grandchildren:  Jason Crapse, Julie Brunson and husband Lance, April Lopez and husband Daniel, Kenneth Stanley, Heather Hiers, Paul Hiers and wife Patricia, Brandy Hiers, Cliff Hiers and wife Mapel, Brandon Swanner, and Sabre Garcia and husband Juan.  There are 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great, great-grandchildren.  Mr. Cook was predeceased by his wives:  Sue Smith Cook and Quandy Cook;  Sister:  Gloria Williams; and Grandson:  Kevin Swanner.

Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Friday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Charles Moore with burial in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Chapel located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
