Timmy Ashworth

Mr. Lester Timothy "Timmy" Ashworth, 63, of Henderson Road near Varnville, died Tuesday afternoon, September 28, 2021 in Colleton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Ashworth was born October 10, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia, a son of the late Robert Henry Ashworth and Edna Rentz Ashworth.  He had worked at International Paper Company in Hampton and also owned and operated Ashworth's Service Station in Hampton.  He loved motorcycles, cars, car shows, and his favorite horse Ringo.  His pride and joy was his yellow 1969 Camaro Z28 that he had restored.  He had attended Deep Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife Teresa Clement of Varnville; sons: Christopher Nettles and wife Richanna  of Estill, Timothy "T.J." Ashworth of Hampton, Michael Clement and wife Christina of Hampton and Madison Clement of Varnville; daughters:  Leslie Terry and husband Jonathan of Hampton, April DeLoach and husband Walt of Estill and Nickie Ashworth of Brunson;  brother Donnie Ashworth and wife Paula of Myrtle Beach; sister Robin Burrell  and husband David of Columbia; and brother-in-law Danny Pulaski of Hampton.  There are eleven grandchildren: Vance, Lexy, Kelsie, Bradley, Walton, Lauren, Emma, Heath, Harlee, Brantley and Caleb.  Mr. Ashworth was predeceased by a sister Diane Pulaski.

Graveside services will be 3 PM Sunday in Sand Hill Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton.
