Mr. Thomas Monroe "Tommy" Jamison, 64, resident of Turner Expressway in the Nixville community, husband of Cindy Jamison, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 23, 1961, in Fairfax, SC, Tommy was the son of Ruth Sullivan Jamison and the late Monroe Sylvia "Billy" Jamison. He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School class of 1979 and worked as a millwright and in maintenance for Westinghouse and Nevamar retiring in 2014 after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement, Tommy worked in roofing, which he enjoyed. Tommy also proudly coached town baseball and football for many years. He loved raising his cows, working in his yard, watching his grandchildren play, and will be remembered by his family as a jack of all trades. Tommy deeply loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed Harley Davidson, notably riding his 1979 Harley Davidson Shovelhead.
In addition to his wife of 23 years, Cindy Jarrell Jamison of the home, and his mother, Ruth Sullivan Jamison of Hampton; Tommy is survived by his daughters: Amber Jamison of Varnville, Kayla Jarrell of Nixville, and Misty Jamison of Hampton; his son, Dusty Jamison of Hampton; his brothers, Todd Jamison of Walterboro and Tim Jamison of Martinez, GA; his sister, Annette Jamison of Covington, GA., and his beloved grandchildren: Devin, Brantley, Charllie Ruth, Brodie, Martilyn, Isabelle, Faith, Edward, Dominic, Marlene, Wayne, Sawyer, Zayne, Noah, Rowen, and Leo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Tommy is predeceased by his first wife, Marlene Heape Jamison; his father, Billy Jamison, and a nephew, Christopher Jamison.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Rivers Cemetery near Brunson, conducted by Rev. Aron Winn.
A visitation will be from 5 PM – 7 PM, Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Jamison, Benjamin Long, Scott Jarrell, Gage Sullivan, Daniel Chassereau, Quentin Austin, Tripp DeLoach and Travis Murdaugh.
Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Jamison family during this time.
