Teddy Edwards

Mr. Freddie Marsh "Teddy" Edwards, III, resident of Edwards Lane in Varnville, passed away Monday evening, April 6, 2026, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born September 7, 1965, in the Hampton General Hospital in Varnville, Mr. Edwards was the son of Freddie M. Edwards, Jr. and Sandra S. Baggett. He went to Wade Hampton High School, served several years in the National Guard, and worked many years as a talented carpenter. Mr. Edwards loved fishing, carpentry and throwing darts. He was a beloved son and brother who will be deeply missed by his family.

Surviving are his parents, Freddie and Susan Edwards and Sandra Baggett; his significant other, Kimberly Fox, and five siblings: Paul Edwards (Tracy), Bobby Edwards, Griner Edwards, Ashlee Edwards Aughtry (Paul), and Judy Edwards Bennett (John). There are also 12 nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews who survive.

Graveside Services will be 11 AM Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Hopewell Cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly and Rev. Michael Frederickson.

Visitation will be from 5 PM – 7 PM Friday evening, April 10, 2026, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel, located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
