Sylvia Dianne Taylor Bush

Sylvia Dianne Taylor Bush, daughter of the late Ottis and Essie Taylor, died on the afternoon of Sunday, May 20, 2018, at her home after an extended illness.

Dianne was born May 8, 1943 in Jesup, GA.  She married Ashley O. Bush, Jr, on July 22, 1962.  She was the much-loved mother of five children.  She was devoted to her family and that was most shown through her involvement at Estill Presbyterian Church and Patrick Henry Academy.

In addition to her husband, surviving are a brother, Doug Taylor, three daughters, Lauren Ivans (Richard), Jennifer Madsen (Rob), Stephanie TeBrake (Joe), a son Jeb (Dave), five grandchildren: Ashley Laffitte, Cal Laffitte, Noah Madsen, William TeBrake and Taylor Madsen. Dianne considered Marc and Catherine Priester and their children to be a part of the family. She also leaves behind two dogs, one of which stayed by her side throughout the entire illness.  She was predeceased by one son, Carson Bush.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, May 21, from 5-7 pm at the residence (975 Grass Hill Rd, Estill).  At her request, the funeral will be private.

As she dedicated many years of volunteer work to the school, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Patrick Henry Academy 8766 Savannah Highway, Estill, SC 29918, in her memory.
