Sylvia Crosby Rivers

Ms. Sylvia Crosby Rivers (Nuk) passed away from injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Shamrock, Texas on August 21, 2023.

Sylvia was born January 11, 1980 in Allendale, SC.  She was the daughter of the late Dean and Cathy Crosby from Hampton, SC.  Sylvia was lucky enough to marry the love of her life, George Rivers III.  They never had any children.  They just enjoyed the nieces and nephews.  She was his little slice of Heaven.

Nuk is survived by her three sisters, Shelley Cook, Stefanie Peeples (Tom), Elizabeth Crosby (Chris).  Nieces, Ava Dean and Abigail and her nephews, Braydon, Carsyn, Hudson and Durham.

Nuk enjoyed life.  She loved music and especially her dogs.  She was definitely an animal lover.  To know Nuk was to love Nuk.  She had a heart bigger than this world.  She would do anything for anybody.  We will miss her deeply and will always remember her as the loving kind hearted person she was.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her late husband, her parents and her two nieces Ansley Grace Altman and Toni Rivers.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27, in the Chapel of Peeples Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Nelson Foster with burial following in the Sandy Run Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm prior to the services.
