Shirley Simmons

Mrs. Shirley Simmons, 86, of 25 Belger Street, died Friday afternoon April 8, 2022 at Hampton Regional. She was born April 28, 1935 to the late Elliott Davis and Missouri Robinson. She was the loving wife of the late Hurley Simmons. She loved to cook and take care of people. She was lovingly called Momma by many. She also loved the outdoors and passed that on to her kids and her grands.

She is survived by a son: Raymond Breland (Heather); a Son-in-Law and three step daughters. Her grands, great grands, several she considered as grands, a fur-grand who was her sidekick Lucy and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband: Hurley Simmons; Sons: B.J., Jr., Marcus and Jim Breland; Daughter: Arlene Mixson; Daughter-in-Law: Donna Breland; Granddaughter: Kayla Breland; and two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West Hampton, SC.

Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 10 A.M. prior to the services in the Chapel.
