Sharon Kay Kelly

Ms. Sharon Kay Mallick Kelly, 77, resident of Nix Street in Brunson, SC, passed away at her residence on Sunday evening, December 15, 2024.

Born on March 23, 1947, in Rockville, MD, she was the daughter of the late John H. Mallick and Mary O. Chapman Mallick.  Sharon enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing, nature hikes and working in her yard, walking and birdwatching especially hummingbirds. She was a lover of all wild animals and also enjoyed having many pets from geese to dogs.  Sharon loved spending time with all kids especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an avid jigsaw puzzle fan and loved frogs with many throughout her house and yard. Sharon was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary in West Virginia.

Surviving is her daughter: Dawn K. Fleming and husband John of Brunson, SC; her son, T. Paul Kelly of Summerville, SC; a daughter-in-law, Christy Missroom;  her brothers: John Mallick and wife Claire of Tylersburg, PA, and Kevin Mallick of Hookstown, PA; grand-children: James, Jessica, Patrick and Michael; great grand-children: Dallas, Serenity, Conner, Alaura, and Alexander on the way; along with many nephews and nieces.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Mallick and Donald Mallick, and her sister, Carol Mallick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorials to be made to the Brunson Baptist Church, Post Office Box 70, Brunson, SC 29911 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

In accordance with Sharon's wishes, no services are planned.
