Sarah Louise Bailey Lambeth

Sarah Bailey Lambeth, 83, of Beaufort, SC and formerly of Hampton, SC and Goose Creek, SC, passed away September 28, 2018 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Sandy Run Baptist Church, Hampton, SC with graveside ceremony following at Adnah United Methodist Church Cemetery, Islandton, SC.  The family will receive friends at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Sarah was born September 1, 1935 in Miley, SC to the late Henry Stephen and Mildred Dopson Bailey.  She and Percy "Bob" were married in January 1958 and spent the next 17 years living around the country during his career in the Air Force before settling in the Charleston area in 1975.  Sarah retired from Bell South after 35 years of service in 1993.  She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and served as Queen of the Nile in 1996.  She was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, knitting and ceramics.

She is survived by her husband Percy "Bob" of 60 years, her two sisters; Betty (Lossie) Polk of Hampton and Shirley Tuten of Miley, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.  Sarah was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Bailey and a sister, Virginia B. Tuten.
