Sadonna Lynne Smith

Mrs. Sadonna Lynne Tuten Smith, 59, wife of Freddy Smith and resident of Rivers Hill Road near Grays, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026, after an extended illness.

Born September 14, 1967, in Estill, SC, Sadonna was the daughter of the late George David Hamilton Tuten and the late Patricia Ann Holyfield Tuten. She successfully owned and operated her own cleaning business which was known as “Breeze Cleaning” and was talented in the upholstery work she did as well. Affectionately known as “Donna Duck”, she enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, rock tumbling, her goldfish pond, fishing, caring for her pets, shopping, and watching cartoons. Sadonna had a green thumb and successfully grew beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables. Many will remember her canning vegetables, stewing tomatoes, or making delicious strawberry jam or grape jelly. Most importantly, she loved her family, her Lord, and was proud of the life that she had built with her husband.

She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Hampton.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Fred “Freddy” Charlie Smith, Jr., of the home, are her children: Jessica Jarrell Peeples (Josh Moseley) and Emma Christina “Christy” Jarrell DeLoach (Adam) both of Brunson, and Dalton Smith, Phillip DeLoach, Nicholas DeLoach, and Crystal DeLoach, all of Georgia; her brother, Christopher Tuten (Lisa) of Luray; her sisters, Tammy Grayson of Savannah, GA and Pricilla Blanton (Jeff) of Massachusetts; her adored grandchildren: Madalynne, Dylan, Allison, Wiley, Everly, Stevie, Ryatt, and Benjamin, and a special lifelong friend, Ellen Rushing, of Hampton.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by an aunt, Jeretha Holyfield.

Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday, November 7, 2026, in the West End Baptist Church located at 1049 Elm St. W., Hampton, SC 29924, conducted by Rev. Joseph Williams. Burial will follow in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 PM – 7 PM Friday evening, November 6, 2026, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel, located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

The family suggests that those who wish send memorials to the Hampton County Animal Shelter, 460 Cemetery Rd., Varnville, SC, 29944.
