Mrs. Ruth O'Quinn DeLoach, 89, of Hampton, South Carolina passed away peacefully at her home the morning of Saturday, September 17 th , 2022.
Born September 30 th , 1932 in Tillman, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Newton Elijah O'Quinn and Anna Rebecca Givens O'Quinn. She was a loving mother, wife, and sister and a devoted Christian. A member of Varnville First Baptist Church, she had been active in many activities and committees. Mrs. DeLoach was also active with the American Cancer Society and local Relay for Life.
Surviving are: her husband, Thomas Ralph DeLoach of Hampton; her children, Thom DeLoach and wife Pam of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Wes DeLoach of Aiken, and Donna Gohagan of Aiken; her brother, N.E. Buddy O'Quinn of Early Branch, and her brother-in-law, William Cannington of Varnville; grandchildren, Andy, Justin, and Matthew DeLoach, and Jake, Ginny, and Sarah Gohagan; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannine Cannington.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 20 th , from 6:30 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton. Graveside services for friends and family will be on Wednesday, September 21 st , at 11:00 AM at the Sand Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the compassion and care provided by Rosanne Gohagan, Vickie Reynolds, C-FNP, and Crescent Hospice.
