Rudolph William "Billy" Clifton

Mr. Rudolph William "Billy" Clifton of Carolina Highway in Denmark, died Sunday Morning in the Barnwell- Bamberg Emergency Medical Center.

Mr. Clifton was born May 14, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia a son of the late James C. Clifton Sr. and Bertha Elizabeth Thomas Clifton. He was retired from the Husqvarna Outdoor Power Equipment Company in Orangeburg, and was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church near Hampton. Mr. Clifton was an avid Gamecock Fan, especially Basketball and Football, and was a Coast Guard Veteran.

Surviving are: His wife: Virginia Sheffield Clifton of Denmark; Daughters: Christy Weeks and husband Don of Edgefield, Donna Driggers and husband Terry of Bamberg, Debbie McMicheal and husband Melvin of Orangeburg, and Billie Marie Clifton of Corpus Christi, Texas; Son: Tom Meucci and wife Karen of Augusta, Maine; Brother: J.C. Clifton of Hampton; Sister: Mattie Jean Reynolds of Hampton; and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Clifton was predeceased by a Brother: Ernest Clifton: Grandson: Joshua Weeks; and a Brother in Law: Ronald Reynolds.

Graveside services will be 11 A.M.  Thursday in the Sandy Run Cemetery conducted by Rev. Timothy Gunnells, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, with Military Honors.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the services at the cemetery.
