Mr. Roy Milson Gibson, Jr. of Saluda Avenue in Fairfax, died early Wednesday morning at his residence.
Mr. Gibson was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, July 17, 1961, a son of Virginia Ray Gibson Kinard of Fairfax and the late Roy Gibson, Sr. He was a construction worker and welder.
Surviving besides his mother are: His fiance': Louise Faulkenberry of Fairfax; Sisters: Patricia Reid and husband Johnnie of Blackville, Norma Pittinger and husband Duane of Bluffton; Brother: Douglas J. Kinard, Jr. and wife Meredith of Allendale. There are two grandsons: Kenneth Harley Youmans, Jr. of Aiken and Donald (Buckshot) Youmans of Columbia; one granddaughter: Charlotte Youmans of Columbia; 6 nephews and 1 niece. Mr. Gibson was predeceased by his step-father, Douglas J. Kinard, Sr.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Fairfax Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday at the Chapel in Hampton located at 300 Mulberry Street West from 5 to 7 P.M.
