Roxanne Rappoccio-Carender

Mrs. Roxanne Michelle Rappoccio-Carender, 50, of Mill Street in Hampton, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 11, 2021 in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Rappoccio-Carender was born February 13, 1971 in Hampton, a daughter of Shirley Jean Mooney and the late Joseph Rocco Rappoccio, Jr.  Despite being disabled the majority of her life, she was strong, courageous, had a heart of gold, "a true angel on earth" and overcame almost everything she was told she couldn't.

She was an amazing wife, mother and friend.  She spent her life taking care of her most precious prized possessions, her family.  She enjoyed online games, running a radio station on IMVU and watching horror/true crime movies.

Surviving besides her mother are:  her husband, Michael Glenn Carender of Hampton; son, Michael Andrew Carender of Hampton; daughter, Brittany M. Pope and husband Richard of Hampton; half-brother, Terry Cardinell of New York; half-sister, Priscilla Ann Burgess of Bamberg; grandchildren:  Ricky, Ariauna, Jayden, Leah and Raylee; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, "adopted" children/grandchildren and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, August 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 8 PM at the Chapel located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
