Rosalyn "Rosie" Terry Brown Cope

Mrs. Rosalyn "Rosie" Terry Brown Cope, 81, died Sunday morning at the River Oak Assisted Living Facility on Port Royal.

Mrs. Cope was born in Miley, June 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Julius Henry Brown, Jr. and Rosa Lee Terry Brown.  She had worked in the Accounting Department at Hampton Regional Medical Center until her retirement and was a member of the Hampton First Baptist Church where she formerly worked with the Clothes Closet Ministry.

Surviving are:  Two sons:  James Albert "Al" Cope, Jr. of Seneca and Timothy "Tim" Brown Cope of St. Helena Island.  Mrs. Cope was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Albert Cope; brothers:  Julius "Shot" Henry Brown, III, and Harry Kirkland "Kirk" Brown; and one sister:  Alberta Sauls.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday in the Hampton First Baptist Church with burial in the Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
