Ronnie Myrell Proveaux

Mr. Ronnie Myrell Proveaux of Pond Town Road near Brunson died Thursday morning in a truck accident in Colleton County.

Mr. Proveaux was born January 12, 1962 in Hampton County, a son of the late Honie Myrell Proveaux and Frances L. Donehue Proveaux.  He had worked for Wall Timber Company for 37 years.  He enjoyed fishing, keeping his neighbors grass cut, and loved his dogs.  He had a heart of gold and always checked on his neighbors and kept them company.  He loved his work and his truck that he drove daily.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Wanda Nix Proveaux of Brunson;  sisters:  Mary Cook and husband David of Brunson, Shirley Hill and husband Tommy of Savannah, and Teresa Proveaux of Rincon, Georgia;  sister-in-law:  Tammy Dobson and husband Kenny of Varnville;  and  brother-in-law:  Jeffrey Nix of Varnville.  There are 2 nieces, 2 nephews and a number of great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton conducted by Rev. R.P. Hodge with burial in the Rivers Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM prior to services at the Funeral Home.
