Robert Edson Steadman

Mr. Robert Edson Steadman of Parrish Burke Road in Millen, Georgia died Thursday evening in the Jenkins Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Steadman was born January 23, 1948 in Middlebury, Vermont, a son of Elizabeth Lattrell Steadman of Lincoln, Vermont and the late Edson Steadman.  He had retired as a diesel mechanic in Millen, Georgia and formerly had worked in Hampton, South Carolina.  He was a Marine Corp Veteran and served in Vietnam.

Surviving besides his mother, are his wife:  Sadie Lou Brown Steadman of Millen, Georgia;  one sister:  Linda Steadman of Maine;  three nieces and three nephews.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be Tuesday, April 23rd at 3 PM in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton.

Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 1 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton, prior to services at the cemetery.
