Robert Daniel "Danny" Stanley

Mr. Robert Daniel "Danny" Stanley, 72, of Walterboro Highway near Varnville, died Friday evening at his residence.

Mr. Stanley was born May 30, 1946 in Charleston, son of the late Lester William Stanley and Myrtie Polk Stanley.  He had retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company as a journeyman in the gas department.  He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Huggin Oak Hunting Club.  He served in the Hampton National Guard Unit and was also a member of the Varnville Christian Church.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Loretta "Lori" Jarrell Stanley of Varnville;  daughters:  Emma Rolynn Stanley and husband Marvin of Varnville, and Lori Anne Litchfield and husband Todd of Walterboro;  son:  Brian Edward Richburg and wife Mitanda of Walterboro;  brother:  Jack Stanley and wife Louise of Columbia;  sister:  Emily Johnson of Varnville;  grandchildren:  Jordyn, Justin and Dalton Litchfield, Jacob and Kayla Stanley and Madison Richburg.  There are several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Stanley was predeceased by a brother:  L.W. Stanley and a foster brother:  Billy Hughes.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
