Richard Mason

Mr. Richard Eugene Mason, 52, of Bert Terry Road near Brunson, died Friday at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Mason was born in Hampton January 24, 1966, a son of the late Blake Washington "B.W." Mason and Nancy Case Mason.  He was a saw operator at Valmont Manufacturing Company in Estill and enjoyed shooting pool and fishing.  He was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Melissa Renee Crosby Mason;  sisters:  Melissa Altman and husband Herman of Brunson, and Clarice Vancuren and husband Donald of Ridgeland;  sister-in-law:  Lizzie Mason of Rincon, Georgia;  three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mason was predeceased by:  his former wife:  Rita Mason; and two brothers:  Blake and Danny Mason.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday in the Sandy Run Baptist Church, 2100 Sandy Run Road, Hampton, conducted by Rev. Kevin Mims with burial in the Rivers Cemetery near Brunson directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 2:00 PM prior to services at the church.
