Rhonda Bowers

Mrs. Rhonda L. Bowers, 67, resident of Speed Limit Road in Nixville, died late Saturday evening, October 12, 2024, in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Born July 1, 1957 in Hampton County, Mrs. Bowers was the daughter of Louise Stanley Long and the late Reginald Long. She was a graduate of Estill High School and earned her bachelors in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, graduating in 1978. Mrs. Bowers began working as a legal secretary for Dan Speights prior to graduating college in 1978 and continued working in that capacity for over 46 years. She loved her job at Speights and Solomons Law Firm but most importantly loved her family.

In addition to her mother who lived with her, surviving are her husband, Charles "Buddy" Bowers, of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Melody Fowler Bowers of Franklinton, NC; her adored grandchildren; Jaden Bowers and Reese Bowers; her sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Ken Polatty of Columbia, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Bowers was predeceased by her father, Reginald "Reggie" Long.

Funeral Services will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924, conducted by Rev. Jack Hutto.

A visitation will be held beginning at 12 noon in the Chapel lasting until the hour of the service.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Bowers family during this time.
