Rebecca Eleazer Solomons, 91, of Greenville, widow of William Gifford Solomons, Jr. passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at NHC Mauldin.
Born in Belton, she was the daughter of the late Louie Hans and Ruth Williams Eleazer. Mrs. Solomons earned her Degree in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina. Prior to her retirement, she was the pharmacist at the medical clinic of Dr. J.M. Bennett, Jr. in Ridgeland, SC. Mrs. Solomons was a member of Estill Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Louise Solomons Anthony (Gene) and Gail Solomons Baxter (Rhett); three grandchildren, Amy Anthony Roddey, Karen Anthony Babb (Steve), and John Dustin Baxter; and four great-grandchildren, Kailee Babb, Bryce Roddey, Morgan Babb, and Ava Roddey.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Solomons was predeced in death by her brother, Paul Edwin Eleazer.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Greenville.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Lawtonville Cemetery, located in Estill, SC. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton will be assisting with the local arrangements.
