Rebecca Lynn Bryant Thames

Mrs. Rebecca Lynn Bryant Thames of Summerville, died Wednesday morning at the residence of her daughter in Griffin, Georgia after a brief illness.

Mrs. Thames was born December 5, 1952 in Parkersburg, West Virginia a daughter of the late Sherman Leo Bryant and Sarah Francis Hutchinson Bryant Tufts. She had worked in retail sales for many years and had attended the Baptist Church. Mrs. Thames had devoted her spare time to caring and being with her family members.

Mrs. Thames was predeceased by her husband Glenn David Thames, Sr. and a son, Glenn David Thames, Jr.

Surviving are: Daughters: Julie Hyman and husband Larry of Walterboro, and Jenny Locklair and husband Jamie of Griffin, Georgia; Brothers: Gene Bryant of Buckhannon, West Virginia, and David Bryant of Cottageville, West Virginia; Sister: Debra Hunnings, of Merrit Island, Florida; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday in the Sandy Run Cemetery near Hampton, Conducted by Rev. Scott Eadie and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will be immediately following the services Monday at the cemetery.
