Raymond Russell Wilcox

Mr. Raymond Russell Wilcox, 72, of Clifton Drive near Estill, died Wednesday afternoon, April 14, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Wilcox was born August 13, 1948 in Westerly, Rhode Island, a son of the late Richard Edward Wilcox and Anna Marie Turner Wilcox Walls.  He was a  retired mechanic and  a former truck driver.  He had served in the Marine Corp in Vietnam as an Air Craft Mechanic and had attended the Hampton Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving is his wife, Josie Lee Boyles Wilcox of Estill; his sons, Donald R. Wilcox and wife Marie of Richmond, Virginia, Richard Wilcox and fiance' Michelle of Nashville, Tennessee, and Brandon Wilcox and wife Mallory of Lexington, South Carolina; his brother, Richard E. Wilcox of Hagerstown, Maryland; his sisters, Judy Dodd of Cleveland, Tennessee and Michelle Hutchison of Show Hill, Maryland; and six grandchildren, Tabitha, Victoria, Kaitlynn, Jessica, Hunter and a special granddaughter, Gracie, that lived with her grandparents.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday, April, 19, 2021, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Bert Linder with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton with Military Honors.

Visitation will be Monday beginning at 1 Pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
