Raymond Fred Green

Mr. Raymond Fred Green, 67, of Belle Lane near Varnville, died Saturday at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Green was born December 22, 1951 in Camden, New Jersey, a son of the late Foster Green and Lillian Billetter Green McGrath.  He was a carpenter, had served in the Army and had settled in the Varnville community to be close to family members.

Surviving are:  brothers:  Richard Green of Florida and Eugene McGrath of Virginia;  and sister:  Kathy McAlhaney of Varnville.  He was predeceased by a brother, Brian McGrath.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton is assisting the family with arrangements.
