Ray Dehay

Mr. Ray Evans DeHay, 65, of Fifth Street East in Hampton, died Monday night, December 16, 2019 in the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.

Mr. DeHay was born July 19, 1954 in Bamberg, a son of the late John DeHay and Johnie Blume DeHay of Bamberg.  He was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church, had been active with the youth sports programs in Hampton County and supported many civic organizations.  He was presently the Store Manager with Food Lion grocery store in Hampton.

Surviving besides his mother of Bamberg are his son:  Daniel DeHay and fiance' Mary Prezzi of Clermont, Florida;  daughter:  Fallon Evans and husband Josh of Hampton;  grandchildren:  Joshua, Brady and Hunter Evans, and Mia and Maci DeHay.   Mr. DeHay was predeceased by his father and his wife, Sandra Lynn Cooke DeHay.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday in Sandy Run Baptist Church with burial in the Gooding Cemetery conducted by Rev. Kevin Mims.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.

The family will be at the home of Larry and Ann Cook, 2339 Walterboro Highway, Varnville, SC.
