Randy Blocker

VARNVILLE:     Mr. James Randy Blocker passed away Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2023 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  He was 62.

Mr. Blocker was born in Hampton, SC September 9, 1960, a son of the late James Kirkland Blocker and Mary Etta Mixson Blocker.  He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for most of his life, and loved spending time outdoors.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed the "farming life", and was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Ashton Blocker (Rebekah) of Hampton, and Caroline Chaplin (Will) of Greenpond.  He leaves behind his grandson Calder Chaplin, his brother Robin Blocker of Grays, and his sister Ann Anderson of Early Branch.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 at the Varnville First Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street in Hampton, is in charge of arrangements.
