Poppy Gooding

Mrs. Poppy Ann Bowers Gooding of Cecilia Road near Estill, passed away Wednesday at her residence after a brief illness.

Mrs. Gooding was born June 27, 1947 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late David Asberry Bowers and Elizabeth Smith Bowers.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, fishing and her animals.

Surviving are two sons, Russell Allen Gooding of Estill and Richard Berry Gooding, also from Estill;  brother Pat Bowers of Brunson and grandchildren, Taylor and Russell Gooding, also from Estill.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
