Phillip Stanley

Mr. Phillip Ray Stanley, 40, of  Mill Pond Road in Varnville, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his residence after a brief illness.

Mr. Stanley was born August 28, 1980 in Orangeburg, a son of Deryl Ray Stanley and Robin Owens Stanley.  He had worked in the construction and painting business and attended Open Arms Fellowship Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family.  He also was an avid Clemson Tigers fan.

Surviving besides his parents of Varnville are his sisters:  Lee Sauls and companion Jason Causey of Varnville, Elizabeth Padgett and husband Matthew of Estill and Haley Allen and husband Trey of Fairfax; paternal grandmother, Hattie Stanley of Varnville;  nieces and nephews:  Savannah, Walker and River Sauls, Lucas and Bethany Padgett, Gage and Jadyn Allen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Mr. Stanley was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Edison and Barbara Owens and his paternal grandfather, Ray E. Stanley.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, July 19, 2021, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton, conducted by Rev. James Porter with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM Monday at the Funeral Home prior to the service.
