Peggy L Jarrell

Brunson:    Mrs. Peggy L. Jarrell of Bert Terry road near Brunson, died Saturday morning at her residence after a brief illness.

Mrs. Jarrell was born Feb. 6, 1933 in Luray, a daughter of the late Leroy Franklin Johnson and Leottie Helmly Johnson. She had retired from Westinghouse Corp in Hampton, and was a member of the Hampton First Christian Church. Mrs. Jarrell was a member of the Dixie Dancers, the Hopewell Baptist Church Seniors Program, the Hospice Program in the Lowcountry, and had been active with the Lyna Tours Group. She was the widow of H. W. Brunson Jr. and Jimmie O. Jarrell.

Surviving are: Son: John D. Brunson and wife Rebecca of Brunson; Step children: Jimmie Michael Jarrell of Estill, Jayne Peeples of Varnville, and Fayeth Tubbs of Aiken; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jarrell was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, a daughter: Carol Ann Lindak; and five brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday in the Hampton First Christian Church, conducted by Rev. Clark McGregor with burial in the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
