Mrs. Myrtle Chaplain Boyles Cook, 84, of Allendale died Sunday morning, August 23, 2020, at the residence of her granddaughter in Brunson.
Mrs. Cook was born December 27, 1935 in Jasper County, a daughter of the late Forest and Ella Mae Cooler Boyles. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking for her family, fishing and growing flowers.
Surviving are her daughters: JoAnn Wilson and husband Bill of Fairfax, Mary Lee Sullivan and husband Jimmy Lee of Barnwell and Marie Bowers and husband Wayne of Brunson; sisters: Josey Wilcox and Violet Gooding of Hampton, Percal Brown of Walterboro, Tina Prince of Ridgeland and Estell Kelly of North Carolina. There are seven grandchildren. Mrs. Cook was predeceased by her husband, Willie Cook and a son, Bennie Cook.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 4 PM in the Gooding Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
