Moye Marvin Crapse

Mr. Moye Marvin "Slick" Crapse, 75, of Savannah Highway near Furman died Sunday afternoon, August 4, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Crapse was born December 14, 1943, a son of the late Benjamin Holbrook Crapse and Vera Inez Smith Crapse.  He had retired as manager of Wiggins Ready Mix Concrete Company in Estill.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking and was a member of the Unknown Hunting Club and Nixville Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife:  Nella Ann Clackum Crapse of Furman; son:  Marvin Ryan Crapse of Furman; and brother:  Jesse Crapse of Hardeeville.  Mr. Crapse was predeceased by a brother:  Roy Crapse; and sisters:  Vera Hite and Lucille Bowers.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton conducted by Rev. Robert Etheridge and Rev. Brian Toney with burial in the Nixville Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at Nixville Cemetery.

The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the church or charity of one's choice.
