Michael James

Mr. Michael Thomas James, 48, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, died Thursday morning, December 31, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. James was born December 12, 1972 in Savannah, Georgia, a son of William Thomas James, Jr. and the late Sarah Louise Cook James.  He had worked for Gulf Stream Corporation as a security guard before his retirement and was a Navy Veteran.

Surviving besides his father of Port Wentworth are his brothers:  William David James and wife Caroline of Statesboro, Georgia and Lloyd Preston James of Savannah; uncle:  Louie Carroll James and wife LaFern of Bardstown, Kentucky; step-mother:  Cathleen James of Port Wentworth; nieces:  Kinsley and Sarah Kate; and nephews:  Will and Preston.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton.

Visitation will be immediately following the service at the cemetery.
