Mary Drawdy

Mrs. Mary Louise Cook Drawdy of Bryan Road near Hampton died Tuesday morning, September 28, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Drawdy was born in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Hazel Lane Cook.  She was a homemaker and had devoted her time to caring for her children and family.

Surviving are her daughters, Connie Nettles and husband Wayne of Hampton, Gail Lee and husband Scott of Hampton, Kathy Ginn and husband David of Estill and Nancy Walters of Hampton; son, David Drawdy and wife Donna of Hampton; brother David Cook and wife Mary of Pond Town; sister Patsy Langdale and husband Rick of Walterboro; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Wayne Nissley.  Mrs. Drawdy was predeceased by her parents and her husband Eddie Hugh Drawdy; son Eddie Hugh Drawdy, Jr.; brother Richard Cook; and a sister Loraine Varnadoe.

Due to the Covid-19 concerns, the family of Mrs. Drawdy has requested a private funeral service.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton is assisting the family with arrangements.
