Martin Bennett

Mr. Martin "Marty" Ashley Bennett, 51, resident of Hampton County, passed away Wednesday evening, March 19, 2025, in Beaufort County.

Born February 28, 1974, Marty was the son of the late William Otis Bennett and Jessie Anza Cook Bennett. He worked over 40 years as a automobile mechanic in Hampton County working at several auto shops and most recently for Jerry's Used Cars in Yemassee. He will be remembered by his family for his unique personality and the fun he had around others.

Marty was a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Logan Bennett of Hampton; his brothers: Michael Bennett of Varnville and Richard O. Bennett of Alabama; one grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in the Sand Hill Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM Monday evening, March 24, 2025, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

The family requests for memorials in his honor to be made to the funeral home.
