Martha Ellen Clark

Miss Martha Ellen Clark of Ashton, near the town of Lodge, died Wednesday afternoon at her residence.

Miss Clark was born July 22, 1936 in Auburn, Illinois a daughter of the late William Clark and Gertrude Duffy Clark. She was a Radiology Technologist, and was the Director of the X Ray Department at Kokomo Orthopedic Clinic, in Kokomo Indiana, before her retirement. Miss Clark was of the Catholic Faith.

Surviving are: Sister: Marilyn Pignon of Auburn, Illinois; Adopted Daughter: Martha Welsh and husband Doug of Lodge, and a Adopted Sister: Ethel Carner of Lodge; Nephew: Phillip Pignon and wife Gail of Washington State; Niece: Rochelle Pignon of Thayer, Illinois; 5 adopted Grandchildren, and 10 adopted Great Grandchildren. There are several Great Nieces and Nephews.

Miss Clark was predeceased by her parents; Brother: James Clark; Nephews: Mark and Bruce Pignon; and a Great Grandson: Lucas Alan Edward Welsh.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the St. Nicholas Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
