Mark Smith

Mr. Gregory Mark Smith, 51, of Mail Carriage Road near Estill died Wednesday morning, September 1, 2021 at Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born October 27, 1969 in Hampton, a son of the late Heyward Lee Smith, Sr. and Reba Wooten Smith Altman.  He was the owner and operator of Mark Smith Tree Service and had attended Spirit of Life Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, working on cars and loved spending time and caring for his family.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Rhonda Michele Stanley Smith of Estill; sons, Christopher Smith and wife Kaila of Hampton and Bradley Smith and wife Amber of Nixville; daughter, Amber Ayer and husband Justin of Hampton; brothers, Heyward Smith and wife Sonja of Hampton, Keith Smith and wife Kathy of Hampton and Bryan Smith and wife Stacey of Fairfax; sisters, Shannon Moseley of Estill, Patty Smith and husband Archie of Brunson, Jeanette and Carroll, both of Barnwell; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Due to the increase of Covid-19 cases in our area, the family will have a private memorial service Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
