Marion Lee Long

Mr. Marion Lee Long, 82, of Winnie Trail in the Nixville Community, died Tuesday night in the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.

Mr. Long was born in Allendale County February 24, 1936, a son of the late Owen Kinard and Pauline Sanders Long.  He had retired from Elliott Sawmill in Estill, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  He had attended Open Arms Fellowship Church in Hampton.

Surviving are:  sons:  Richard Long and wife Janice and Terry Long and wife Lisa, both of Nixville;  daughter:  Elaine Jarrell and husband Jeffery of Brunson;  brothers:  Marshall Long of Nixville and Leroy Long of Aiken;  sisters:  Eunice Campbell of Easley and Kathleen Groves of Walterboro;  11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  Mr. Long was predeceased by a son, Darryl Long and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Renee Simmons.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. James Porter with burial in the Beech Branch Cemetery near Luray.

Visitation will be Friday prior to the services beginning at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
