Miss Marion Elizabeth Clapp, 86, of Ehrhardt died Friday afternoon at Lowcountry Assisted Living in Ehrhardt after an extended illness.
Miss Clapp was born in Maine May 31, 1931, a daughter of the late Lester D. and Francis Kingman Clapp. She had owned and operated her own dog kennel and was active with the American Kennel Club and had served as a National Judge. Miss Clapp also had worked with the Grumman Aircraft Company and had attended Hampton First Baptist Church.
Surviving are: Nephew: Marty Clapp of Hampton; Niece: Kelly C. Rahn and husband John of Islandton; and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Marshall L. Clapp and wife Carolyn, and Russell K. Clapp.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 4 PM in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton with visitation immediately following the services.
