Maggie Davis

Mrs. Maggie Herlene Brown Davis, 78, of Susan Street in Hampton, died Monday afternoon, April 19, 2021 in Trident Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Davis was born January 29, 1943 in Hampton, a daughter of the late Clarence "Shot" Brown and Rosa Herlene Barnes Brown.  She had retired as a seamstress, working with several sewing rooms in the Lowcountry area.  Mrs. Davis enjoyed working and in her spare time she loved growing flowers.  She was a member of White Oak Fellowship Church near Islandton.

Surviving is her husband Roger Dale Davis, Sr. of Hampton; son, Roger Dale Davis, Jr. and wife Brenda of Moezelle; brother John Edward "Bubba" Brown and wife Mable of Hampton; and sister Minnie Lee Bolton of Hampton.  Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Mary Lillie Sauls.

Graveside services will be 11 AM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton conducted by Rev. Michael Polk.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.

The family will be at the home of her sister, Minnie Lee Bolton, 110 Suzanne Street in Hampton.
