Lynn Elaine Nix Stanley

HAMPTON:

Mrs. Lynn Elaine Nix Stanley, 67, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 28, 2022 in the Hampton Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Timmy Gunnels and Rev. David Richardson, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stanley was born November 13, 1954 in Hampton County and was the daughter of the late Charles Lynburg Nix and Lois Thomas Nix Seckinger. She attended the Hampton Church of God and enjoyed decorating and preparing for a wide variety of church functions. Mrs. Elaine also loved cooking, fishing, working in the garden, canning her fresh vegetables and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband, Don Michael Stanley; Son, Don Michael Stanley, Jr. and wife Michelle of Hampton; Daughter, Tammy Hadwin and husband Odie of Brunson; Brother, Charles Nix (Rhonda) of Cottageville; half-brother, Bucky Nix (Christina) of Ridgeland; Half-sisters, Shanna Williams (Robert) of Grays; Stephanie Sauls (Mark) of Early Branch. She was affectionately known as "Mama" to her grandchildren: Hunter Stanley; Hannah Stanley (Robbie); Dakota Hadwin (Tiffany); and Dalton Hadwin (Sydni), great-grandchild: Asher Stanley; and Step-father: O'Neal Seckinger of Springfield, GA.

Mrs. Stanley was predeceased by two brothers: Phillip Wayne Nix and Robert Wade Nix: and one Half-sister: Sheila Smith.
