Luther Edward Davis

Mr. Luther Edward Davis of Newton Corner Road near Estill, died Saturday morning, July 1, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Davis was born August 16, 1953 in Jasper County, a son of the late Luther Davis and Vinnie Louise Brown Davis. He was a retired Carpenter and was a member of the Grays Church of God. He enjoyed Hunting and was a member of the Horse Gall and Big Bay Hunting Clubs, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are:  Son:  Earvy Prince "Tina" of Estill; Sister:  Betty Hill of Georgia; Sister in Law:  Helen Stanley "John" of Hampton; Grandchildren:  Felica Bullock "Eric" of Manning, William Thames Jr. of Hampton, Roy Thames "Maggine" of Nixville, Tommy Heard of Nixville, Jimmy Daniel "Destiny" of Yemassee, Bobby Daniel of Nixville, Heather Prince "Nick" of Hampton, and Lesa Prince "John" of Missouri. There are 11 Great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Davis was predeceased by his parents, his wife:  Doris Marie DeLoach Davis; and two brothers:  James Luther Davis and Luther Henry Davis.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 4th, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial in the DeLoach Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly.

Visitation will be Monday, July 3, 2023, beginning at 5 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
