Lorraine Logan

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL :  Lorraine Miller Blount Logan was born in Hampton County South Carolina in 1924 and passed on October 2, 2021 at the age of 97.

She was the daughter of the late Wilber and Adeline Woods Miller and the adopted daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Rivers Sr. of Hampton.  Mrs. Logan graduated from Hampton High School and attended Winthrop College (University) in Rock Hill S.C.

In 1945, she married Lt. Robert Shelley Blount, Jr. (U.S. Army Air Corps), a veteran of WWII and Korea.  After the death of Robert Blount Jr. (1923-2000), Lorraine married Edward Taylor Logan (1922 - 2015) of Varnville, S.C. in 2002.  She is survived by three sons:  Robert S. Blount III and wife Andrea of Keystone Heights, FL; Donald F. Blount and life partner Vicky Shelby of Phoenix, AZ; and Steven M. Blount of  Coronado, Panama. Surviving grandsons are Austin and Chandler Blount.

Lorraine and her husbands Bob and Ed were members in their youth of Harmony Presbyterian Church of Crocketville, SC.  Lorraine continued her lifetime participation in the Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, Sunday School teacher, and coordinator of youth groups.  She was a life member of the Women of the Church and a Circle chairman for many years.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2:00 at the Crocketville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street in Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
